Sarah Mlynowski

Sarah Mlynowski is one of my favorite authors. She is really funny and writes so many good books! She wrote GIMME A CALL and the book I just finished, PARTIES AND POTIONS. PARTIES AND POTIONS is the last book so far in the series, all of the books are so good as so funny. The main character is named Rachel who lives in Manhatten with her sister Miri, and her Mom. Her sister and her mom both turned out to be witches! They do crazy spells that get them into a lot of trouble like putting a love spell on a senior and bewitching cows into their school gym! This book is so good and I highly recommend it! Rachel's parents are both divorced and her Dad has no idea that any of them are witches! Rachel goes threw a lot in this series and it was so good and I know that you would like it just as much as me!

Give Me a Call

Give Me a Call by Sarah Mlynowski is one of the best books I have ever read and I think that you would like it too! It is about a girl who calls herself in the past and changes her future. She can do anything she wants from getting into a good college to getting a new boyfriend. This book is so funny and a great read. The main character's name is Devi and she is realy funny! She dose not say jokes or anything but she is so fed up with herself and wants to change everything that she has done in the past to change. Devi finds out that every change has a consequence. One of her friends joined the cheerleading squad and, well...let's just say that she was better off before. Every page of this book was so good, I could not put it down! This book was so good and for anyone who wants to get hooked into a book, I highly recomend this one! You will love it!

Hunger Games

Since the Hunger Game's movie came out I have seen it three times! The director Gary Ross did such a good job of capturing everything that the readers and Suzanne Collins got when reading. The theme of the arena, the sadness of Rue. Everything was there, andthat's why I am reading the books again. While I was reading I noticed that a lot of the lines in the book were actualy in the movie, and even though it might seem like a small detail it makem a big difference to the viewer. Another thing that I loved was that the costume designer made all of the outfits Cinna designs into real life. The fire flaring around the stage as the chariots go by to the reaping clothes Katniss wears.
From these books I think that everyone has a connection to the characters, Peeta, the boy with the bread, Prim, who has her goat and her cat Buttercup, these characters really are great on the big screen, Andy for anybody that has read the Hunger Games, I want to encourage you to see the movie too because it really took the movie that I was playing in my head as I read it and put it in theaters.

Charlie and the Chacolate Factory

Charlie and  the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl is such a great book. It shows how Charlie Bucket a less than ordinary kid with not that much money gets ahold of one of the five golden tickets from the legendary Willy Wonka's Chacolate Factory. The other four golden tickets go to Violet Beauregard, who wins at everything and cannot stop chewing on her gum, Augustus Gloop, a ravenous eater who eats so much chocolate everyday he had to win a golden ticket, Mike Teavee, who watches television and plays video games all the time who cracked the code of the Wonka candy bars, and Veruca Salt, who is spoiled rotten  and was also was guaranteed a golden ticket because her father had his peanut factory workers peel the wrappers until they found one. You have to read this book to find out about their wonderful day in Wonka's chocolate factory.

Mocking Jay

I just finished "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins, this was a great book to finish an amazing series. This author is so good at creating a character and spacing things well throughout the story so that everything is interesting. Katniss is my favorite character in this book because she goes threw a lot but still stays strong in the end and turns into a great leader. Everyone really developes in the books as the characters get older. This is definitely the most action packed book in them all because there is so much sorrow and so much going on. I can't give too much away but this book is so good and I hope you read it! I am sad that this series is over but I am looking forward to the movie and I hope that it is just as good as the books!

Catching Fire

I finished the book, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It was so good that I had to read the sequal, Catching Fire. This book was great because I loved reading about the games. Suzzane Collins dose a great job with action scenes and making the story really come to life. I can't believe how well that she can mantain a good sence of time. By the books, you can actualy tell how long they have been in the games. She also throws in so many surprises, and really makes you think. I finally know why everyone loves these books! You can not put them down! I finished Hunger Games over the weekend, and started Cathing Fire and I was thirty pages from finishing Catching Fire too! Now I am on Mocking Jay and so far it is really good! Everone should read these books!

Hunger Games

I am reading the Hunger Games! Everyone has told me that this book was good, but even though I have not read that far into it yet, it is super good! I like this book so far because it has adventure and I like that it is in the future. My favorite character is Katnis because she looks out for her family and that is something that I admire. I think that the whole idea of having our nation being destroyed and another one coming in it's place is really interesting and I think that it is a great idea for a plot. I hope that Katnis wins the Hunger Games but it would be really hard to kill kids, or even friends. This book so far is really good and I am so excited to see the movie when it comes out!
